Mansions of the Gilded Age

The photo above is the Lyndhurst mansion in Tarrytown, New York and it was the first Gilded Age mansion I visited as a child and will always have a special place on my list of great houses. Make sure if your in the area, not to miss visiting this one of kind house, which has survived and is open to the public. http://lyndhurst.org/

Mansions of the Gilded Age administrator Gary Lawrance also picked it  as one of ,"America's  Most Beautiful Mansions" in this Forbes story.
